The 5th and final round of the Western Cape Rally Championship will be the, Fix-A-Smash All Tar Rally, which will take place at Killarney Racing Complex on 12th October 2013, with documentation and scrutineering to be on the 11th October 2013 at 7:30pm at Killarney Racing Complex in the garage of the new pits. Rally will commence the following morning when Parc Ferme opens at 8am.

The first stage will start at 08:30am. There will be 6 stages of which 2 will be super specials.

Cars will run at 1 minute intervals from stage 1 unto stage 4, which potentially means, you could have up to 16 cars on a stage at a time chasing each other…awesome action!!

Stage 5 + 6 will be the 3.9km super special stages with 2 cars racing against each other, fast and technical roads, through the pits and the subway.

We’ll be using parts of the pits never used before, it’s going to be very tight and tricky…definitely power steering needed…LOL

Final round of the 2013 Western Province Rally Championship will take place on Saturday 12 October 2013 and as have become the norm the Fix-a-Smash CCMCC All Tar Rally at Killarney is set to attract a varied field from many categories of motorsport.

Though the rallyists will be focused on earning points towards the respective WP Rally Championships for Drivers and Navigators some pride will also be at stake as the circuit specialists does not enjoy being beaten by the rally cars. Dirk Snr and Jnr Kruger came close when they finished second by a single second in their former Wesbank Toyota Corolla racer and they must rate as the most likely combination to someday succeed.

Ettiene du Toit have since moved on to become a serious title contender in the Engen Polo Cub Masters category but rally pride will be defended by Mike Nathan and John Peiser in their respective 4x4 cars.

Rallying puts man and machine to the test on every conceivable surface and the ever changing weather further deepens the plot to upset even the best prepared teams. Though officially considered a separate event the addition of cars from alternative categories of motorsport inevitably sees personal pride at risk as the 6th Fix-a-Smash All Tar Rally was to be the final round of the 2013 Western...

Mike Nathan and Derek Jacobs will start the Fix-a-Smash All Tar Rally / Challenge as outright favourites in their S5 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 Turbo 4x4 and the CPMCC entry will also be defending rallying honour against some formidable Challenge entries.

As have become the norm this annual compact and spectator friendly tarmac event inevitably leads to a classic Rally vs Challenge contest...
