The Swartland beckons!

Leading the challenge for overall honours during the CEJ Plant Hire Malmesbury Rally on Saturday 8 September 2018 will be Llewellyn Jones and Christophé Pichon in their CEJ Plant Hire 434 CPMCC S5 Subaru Impreza 4x4 Turbo 2.0. Having won the REACT Night Rally Malmesbury on debut they most certainly would enjoy winning the penultimate round of the 2018 Western Cape Rally Championship!

Chilly but Hot Racing at Killarney

9 August 1945 is possibly the date that had the greatest influence on the world as we know it today as this was the day that Bockscart dropped Fat Boy on the Japanese city of Nagasaki, forcing the unconditional surrender of the Japanese and the ending of World War II. That was seventy three years ago, and still the world cannot live in peace.

Peiser wins All Tar Rally

John Peiser (Plattekloof) and Weston Peiser (Plattekloof) showed their class on Saturday 4 August 2018 when they steered the Speed Pro Cycling Components 425 WPMC S5 Subaru Impreza 4x4 Turbo 2.0 to a convincing overall victory on the Killarney All Tar Rally, round five of the 2018 Western Cape Rally Championship, by winning all six stages. The father and son combination also now move into first position on the regional championship points log with two gravel events remaining, the 8 September 2018 (CEJ Plant Hire Malmesbury Rally) and 6 October 2018 (Riebeek Kasteel Rally).

Tar-riffic Entry for All Tar

All Tar! With a touch of gravel when you run wide or outbrake yourself, but take note! The scenery at the Killarney International Raceway are fixtures, rather solid concrete fixtures in most cases and you are advised to avoid making contact at all times!

Fun in the Mud

Many moons ago the Pop’s Robert Interclub Championship saw members of the five Rally Clubs in the Western Cape present rally sprints, gymkhana and regularity rallies contest in a fun series where road cars and almost any competition car could be utilised by a variety of drivers and navigators without breaking the bank. Slowly but surely the club element (such as the club award in each regional and national rally), was eliminated, for reasons that can be debated for days on end and the Pop’s Robert series was discontinued.
