WBMK trio dominate Ceres podium!

Think Ceres and you think fruit and good times. Mention Ceres to rallyists and they suddenly become uncomfortable and doubt appear about potential results. This is real rally country, testing man and machine to the limit on every stage. Attack and Ceres will defend, hold back and Ceres will call you out. Now 34 years young the Witzenberg Motorklub event have certainly developed a reputation and Saturday 13 May 2017 lived up to expectations!

On the 133 rd day of 2017 the third round of the Western Province Rally Championship will take competitors to the main centre of the Warm Antelope Field (Warm Bokkeveld). Quite fittingly named after the Roman Goddess of Agriculture, Ceres nestles in a valley that is extremely fertile and the are produces much of Southern Africa’s decidious fruit.

Richa D adds Swartland!

Saturday 1 April 2017 dawned dry and dusty in the Swartland but despite the desperate need for water in the Western Cape an air of optimism had everyone anticipating an exciting second round of the Western Cape Special Stage Rally Championship. After all, the Cape Peninsula Motorcycle and Car Club is the second oldest motor club in South Africa and the Swartland will always be the spiritual home of the sport in the Cape.

Huntigowk Day in the Swartland

The Black Land (Swartland) is known as such due to the colour of the endemic Elytropappus rhinocerotis in the winter time. It is neather winter nor wet but Huntigowk Day is a reality and come Saturday 1 April 2017 a few new “noddy’s” may be found in the Swartland Renosterbos!
